While multiple sources have confirmed that Apple would hold an event on September 12 to announce next iPhone, Sharp’s vice president Takashi Okuda in an earning call publicly said that they would ship display for next iPhone starting from this month, reports Reuters. iPhone 5 is expected to include bigger screen than the current generation iPhone which has been used by Apple since 2007.
It seems that the company would now plunge to bigger screen because its other rivals in the market have opted for the same as well. The iPhone has evolved from being an extra ordinary browsing device to a massive hub for applications. If rumors are believed, Apple would supposedly increase the size of the screen up to 30%, which come closer to 4 inch. However, the smartphone would see change in height rather than the actual width.
This hint from the Sharp’s new president is a clear that the September launch of the iPhone is imminent. Would there be an iPod touch or iPad mini as well? We are not sure. What do you think? Let’s know in comments.
